The value

What this treatment changes for you.

Tissue recovery

Warm-oil abhyanga rebuilds depleted dhatus and restores fascial integrity after pregnancy and birth.

Hormonal rebalance

Targeted herbs and rhythm restore endocrine balance — supporting milk supply and mood.

Nervous-system reset

Daily snehana calms the postpartum vata storm — sleep, anxiety and overwhelm settle.

Core & pelvic

Belly binding supports the abdominal wall and pelvic floor as they re-tension.

Long-term health

What's done in the first 42 days shapes the next 20 years of a mother's health — properly held now prevents later patterns.

Adapted to you

Care is calibrated to caesarean recovery, mastitis history, prior trauma and your individual constitution.

FAQ

Common questions.

What is Ayurvedic postnatal care?+

The classical 42-day mother window — daily warm-oil abhyanga, belly binding, nourishing meals and herbs — designed to restore tissues, hormones and nervous system after birth.

When should I start?+

Ideally from day 5–7 postpartum (or once your care team clears bodywork). Care can begin later — patterns from missed postpartum care are also addressed in our restorative protocols.

Is it safe after a caesarean?+

Yes. Pressure, oils and positioning are adjusted to your stage of healing. Abdominal work is introduced gradually after the scar is closed and reviewed by your obstetrician.

Home visits or in-clinic?+

Both. Home visits within Sydney for early postpartum; in-person sessions on Dangar Island once mum and baby are ready to travel.

What does a postnatal package include?+

A consultation, a series of warm-oil massages, belly binding, herbal supports for milk supply and recovery, and nutrition guidance for the postpartum kitchen.
